Polycrystalline: a particular type of technology used to catch the sun in a solar cell. The polycrystalline cell has a blue appearance and a “live” surface as a result of the direction of the various silicon crystals.
PV system: short for photovoltaic system.
Renewable energy: the energy produced by hydropower, biomass, photovoltaics, heat pumps and wind turbines.
Solar cell: a unit consisting of several layers of light absorbent material, designed to convert the radiation from the sun into electricity.
