About mounting systems

At DanSolar, we have extensive experience with many different mounting systems and solutions:

  • Roof integrated solution
  • Roof mounted
  • Flat roof solutions
  • Ground-based solution

Read more about the individual solutions below. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

You can download datasheets and installation instructions in the drop-down list at the bottom of this page.

Roof-integrated solution Renusol InterSole

Renusol Intersole SE is a complete mounting system that is designed to integrate all solar panel types (with frame) on sloping roofs. The system is particularly suitable for roofs with a slope of 15-70 degrees.

When the roofing is removed and replaced with hard plastic panels this guarantees a waterproof solution. The Intersole panels are attached to the battens, just like the roof tiles. Custom-made aluminium anchors are placed on top of the Intersole panels. The anchors support the aluminium rails on which the solar panels are mounted.

The mounting system is certified according to the German TÜV quality standard and has a product warranty of 10 years.

Roof-mounted solution Renusol VarioSole for tiles and eternit

DanSolar offers two different solutions for roof mounting. One solution is called VarioSole, which is for tile and asphalt roofs respectively.Variosole is a versatile mounting system for sloping roofs. The system can be used for various types of roofs including tiles, fiber cement, roofing felt and others. Variosole can be used for solar panels with a panel thickness of 34-51 mm and can be mounted both horizontally and vertically.

Overall, there are two ways to mount the rail system. On cement or roofing felt stud screws are used to attach the rails to the roof. The screws are drilled through the material and attached to the rafters approx. 0.9 meters apart. On tiles or slate roofs aluminum hooks are attached under the tiles. The hook is placed under the tile and secured in the batten.

The Variosole system is available in both silver and black. The mounting system is certified according to the German TÜV quality standard and has a product warranty of 10 years.

Roof-mounted solution Renusol MetaSole for steel roofs

DanSolar offers two different solutions for roof mounting. The Renusol MetaSole solution is for steel roofs. Renusol MetaSole is a rail system for steel roofs with only four components

Metasole is a complete mounting system for roofs made of trapezoidal steel. The system can be used for solar panels with a panel thickness of 34-51 mm.

For this system customized rails with a rubber backing are attached directly to the steel plate and then the middle and end clamps are clicked on the rail. This provides a stable support for the solar panels. To secure the rails, ordinary self-drilling screws are used, and pre-drilling is unneccessary.

The mounting system is certified according to the German TÜV quality standard and has a product warranty of 10 years.

Flat roof solution Renusol ConSole

Console mounting system is ideal for installation of solar panels on flat roofs with a slope of no more than 5 degrees. The advantage of using consoles is that the roof is not penetrated and leaks are avoided.

The Solar panels are placed on plastic brackets that are filled with a ballast of earth, gravel or similar, to ensure wind resistance. The weight of the ballast depends on the height of the building, the location and local wind and snow conditions.

The brackets are available in four sizes depending of the size of the panel. The slope is 25 degrees. If the roof cannot carry the necessary quantity of ballast the alternative is Console+ or another flat roof solution which does not require ballast.

The Console system is also suitable for mounting on the ground. The system is TÜV certified and has a product warranty of 10 years.

Ground-based construction Renusol TerraSole

There are certain challenges with ground-based PV systems. We recommend the sturdy and adjustable Terra Sole system. The custom-made support is primarily used for installation of PV systems on large areas. Terrasole comes in all sizes – from installations of 3 kW up to MW.

The design of Terra Sole necessarily varies from project to project, and so there is no standard solution. Factors such as location, wind conditions and soil, play a significant part when the construction is designed.

All Terra Sole components are made of galvanized steel with no welds.

Flat roof solution east/west facing ballast system Renusol FS10

Renusol FS10 is an ideal solution for flat roofs where you want to maximise space utilisation. The system is easy to install as the panels are mounted directly on feet, which are not connected by rails as with other systems.
